NACS Live Event #1 – August 16-17

Here is the updated NACS LAN Tournament Rules & Code of Conduct with the late penalties removed as requested:


NACS LAN Tournament Rules & Code of Conduct

Applies to all North American Clutch Series (NACS) LAN Events, including Clutch or Kick

To ensure a fair, safe, and competitive environment for all participants, the following rules are strictly enforced.


 Equipment & Setup

  • USB devices are strictly prohibited at all stations unless explicitly approved by tournament staff.

  • Players may bring their own peripherals, including:
    • Mice
    • Keyboards
    • Mousepads
    • In-ear monitors
    All peripherals are subject to staff inspection.

  • No external drives (USBs, hard drives, wireless adapters, etc.) may be connected to tournament PCs.

  • No third-party software outside of game-related drivers is permitted.

  • Game configurations must comply with CS2 rules. Illegal binds (e.g., jump-throw scripts) or macros will result in a round forfeit or disqualification.

  • Players may not install or alter system-level settings or access files not pre-approved by tournament staff.


 Player Config Upload Policy

To comply with Valve VRS Tier 2 standards, configs must be submitted in advance. This ensures fairness, security, and efficient setup.

  • USB transfers are not allowed under any circumstances.

  • A secure upload link will be provided by NACS for each team.

  • Each player must upload:

    • autoexec.cfg

    • crosshair.cfg

    • Optional: video.txt and videooptions.txt (subject to approval)

  • Files must be clearly named using each player’s in-game alias.

  • Configs will be preloaded by staff onto match PCs before the event.

  • Deadline to upload configs is August 13th, 2025. Players without a valid config will be required to play with default settings.

  • All configs will be reviewed and scanned for compliance and safety.

  • Players may not modify their config on-site without admin approval.


 Anti-Cheat Policy

Cheating or exploitative behavior will result in permanent bans for both the individual and the team.

Examples include but are not limited to:

  • Aim assistance

  • Wallhacks / ESP

  • Script or macro abuse

  • Use of external devices (Cronus, XIM, etc.)

  • Impersonating another player

  • Hardware or software tampering

All demos may be reviewed by NACS staff. Suspicious behavior will delay prize payouts.


 Food & Beverages

  • Drinks must be kept on the floor at all player stations.

  • No food allowed at setups. A designated eating area will be provided.

  • Damage caused by food or drink may result in fines.


 Player Conduct

  • Threats, physical aggression, or hostile behavior = immediate removal.

  • Players must respect tournament staff and fellow competitors.

  • Toxic in-person behavior will not be tolerated.

  • Headphones must stay on during matches unless instructed otherwise.


 Match Protocol & Timing

  • Players must be at their stations 10 minutes before their scheduled match time.

  • All matches must be played on tournament-provided servers.

  • Valve-standard CS2 competitive rules apply unless otherwise stated.


 Spectators & Media

  • Phones and electronics are not permitted at player stations during live matches.

  • Spectators must remain in designated areas and may not coach or interact with players.

  • NACS staff may capture photos or stream footage for media/promotional use.


 Prize Payout Policy

  • Payouts processed within 30 days of event conclusion.

  • Prize money will be distributed via PayPal, ACH, or another approved platform.

  • Team captains must provide payment info within 7 days of request.

  • Payouts may be delayed if information is inaccurate or not submitted.

Cheating Review Clause:

  • Suspected cheating triggers demo review and may delay payouts up to 30 additional days.

  • If cheating is confirmed:

    • Entire team forfeits all winnings

    • Permanent ban from all future NACS events

    • Runner-up team is awarded the win and prize money

Conduct-Based Disqualification Clause:

  • Allegations of hostile or threatening behavior can result in payout hold.

  • If confirmed, team forfeits prizes and runner-up team is awarded applicable prize.

  • All decisions by NACS officials are final.


 Zero-Tolerance Violations

Immediate removal + permanent ban for:

  • Tampering with equipment or the network

  • Attempting to impersonate another player

  • Ignoring staff instructions after a warning


Acknowledgment

By participating in a NACS event, all players, staff, and attendees agree to these rules.
NACS reserves the right to update or enforce additional rules as necessary to maintain integrity and fairness.
